It is amazing what some people will do to get a good parking spot. I am sure you have seen it too. People will drive around the lot looking for that perfect parking spot and if they can not find one they like often they will just make one up. Or sometimes people will take up two parking spots. Those guys are the worst. I mean I understand you have a $100K car but that does not give you the right to take up two spots does it? I guess in your mind it does. When the lot is crowded or full these guys are super annoying. I was at Red Rock Casino the other day and saw a Lambo parked in a corner of the lot far away from the front door but at least this guy or gal was considerate and only took one spot.
It has been written on this website that perhaps the best way to avoid having to worry about getting a good parking spot is to just use the valet. Their job is to take your car for you and park it while you enter the facility to conduct your business. When you return from conducting your business the valet will take your claim ticket and retrieve your car returning it to you where you can then depart the location. This in turn saves you having to drive all around a parking structure to try to find a spot for yourself. The valet is super easy to use, often only costs a few bucks and saves you from driving up and down the aisles looking for a parking spot.
Often times though there is no valet service available and you have to go in search of a parking spot. So there you are, driving around and around and think you finally see a spot in the crowded lot and… nope. A mini car or a motorcycle is in that spot. So you keep on going, avoiding the stray shopping cart and the people walking who are not paying attention because they are busy playing Angry Birds on their smart phones and it seems like there is never going to be a parking spot within a mile walking distance.
So what do you do? You keep on driving right? I mean you have business inside that must be taken care of. You have to find a parking space. So you circle around and pass by the front of the store and voila! As if by magic a parking spot has opened up right near the front of the store.
That always makes me smile.
What do you thinking is the worst type of parking offender? Let us know in the comments. Would love to hear from you.
